Lights and Mints

My newest obsession is Lights. She opened at an Owl City concert my sister went to out in Provo, my sister came home for the summer, and the first time i heard her, I LOVED IT! My friends think she sounds similar to B Spears and Ke$ha. I can see where they are coming from, but she is her own sick and original style. Her best song is definatley Ice. It's so good! At approximatley 1:48-2:06 is this crazy fast crazy awesome part! It's so hard to learn, but with some hard work dedication and motivation you can obtain this goal. You just have to know the right techniques. I learned from my sister's friend Andi to right the lyrics on an index card and take it everywhere you go until you learn them off by heart. Within two days I had it down perfect! No one has ever heard of Lights. So you shouldn't feel out of the loop or anything. I'm just making it known that Indefinite Cacophobia is a major fan of Lights... so in a year when she is number 1 on Itunes the world will know we loved her in the beginning.

I wrote a blog previously on Ke$ha and I feel im overdueing the "emerging artists" post. But I just love music!!! I will make up for this by now beginning to talk about another item of business completley irrevelant and unrelated! But, with my geniusness will find a way to tie it in together and trick the uglies into thinking I made a smooth transition. So like i was saying i LOVE Lights. and i also LOVE life saver wintergreen mints. AND. if you go in the dark and open your mouth while chewing the mints they make sparks and LIGHT up. Everyone loves these. They are great. But every dedicated fan knows there are 2 kinds of these mints. Sometimes you hit a bag full of one kind or sometimes you get a mix.

Type 1: "The rock hard kind." They are hard like you would expect any mint to be. This is great for the consumers that want their mint to last a long time, and only eat one to freshen up their breath maybe once a day.
Type 2: "The soft and dissolving kind." When you pop it into your mouth it unexpectedly begins to dissolve and its crazy soft. This is great for us people who want to eat as many mints as humanly possible in a short amount of time. They also have a much better taste and texture in general. They are also good for the folks with braces or sensitive teeth. because "the rock hard kind" can be a little rough when the mints are eaten in large quantities.

Why is there a difference? This is something millions of mint eaters wonder each day when they open a new pack and are surprised by the softness or hardness. I have a few theories but they are not completley proven yet.
1. That the softer ones are the older ones or expired ones. Which is kind of gross but they taste better.
2. That the softer ones are from microscopic holes in each individual wrapped one or in the main bag. (If the whole bag is a soft pack.)
I have tested this by opening the individual wrappers and leaving the mints sitting on top of them on my dresser for a few weeks, but its debatable if they were there long enough or if that is what made them soft or not.

Okay i'm done addressing this. I love lights and life savor wintergreen mints. especially the old soft and dissolving kind.
